This has improved our well being and confidence in the actions we are taking for our children and families. It provides a valuable sounding board in a role that can feel quite isolating. Several of our children receive weekly play therapy and through this we have seen a reduction in anxieties and an improved sense of well being. Jo and her team are always ready to adapt and to meet our needs as a school.
Head St Margaret Mary's Catholic Infant School, Knowsley Jo Whalley Counselling Services has been coming to our school for 10 years now. The counselling and play therapy they provide for children is invaluable to wellbeing in our setting. We have seen such positive results in the children they have worked with which enable them to manage their own emotions, behaviour and learning. They also support our parents with advice when needed. Our pupils love them being in school and we would not be without their service.
St Mary's Catholic Primary School Oswaldtwistle We began using Jo Whalley Counselling Services to provide supervision for staff last year. Having an external person conducting supervision ensures it is neutral and a safe space for staff to discuss their safeguarding and wellbeing concerns. They provide documentation to evidence supervision has taken place. Our staff are really happy that supervision is planned into the school calendar and that they have an opportunity to voice their worries and concerns.
St Mary's Catholic Primary School Oswaldtwistle We have been using Jo Whalley Counselling Service for the past year now and we are absolutely delighted with the huge, positive impact it has made on our school. Many of our children have accessed this counselling and really look forward to their weekly sessions with Jen; feeling in a position to open up to her because of her warm and friendly nature and the provision that she so caringly puts in place for each individual child. Especially over the last few months, this service has been invaluable to our children but also to our staff members who have accessed support when needed. One member of staff has been involved with several different counsellors over the years and went on record as saying that Jen is the only one who has made a huge difference to her. She continues to access sessions weekly. I cannot thank this counselling service enough and I would recommend them to any school without hesitation.
